Rospuutto is a tool for the responsible rider: it helps you know where permission is needed. It does not give you permission to ride a private road, nor does it guarantee that a road is passable.

1. Nature of the service

Rospuutto shows route suggestions based on data from the National Land Survey of Finland, Digiroad and OpenStreetMap, and on reports from users. The data does not reliably tell whether riding on a private road is permitted, whether a gate is locked or open, or whether the road is physically passable. Trust levels (Open, Unknown, Closed) are estimates, not permissions.

2. Your responsibility

• You are responsible for having the right to ride the route you choose, and for your vehicle and skill being adequate for the terrain.
• The risk levels "Low risk" and "High risk" and the "Ignore gates" setting only change the app's own warnings and routing; they do not override road rights, bans or the Finnish Off-road Traffic Act.
• Follow traffic rules. Use the app while riding only by glancing at it; never in a way that endangers you or others.
• Respect the signs and bans of road associations and landowners even if the app suggests otherwise.

3. Community reports

Report obstacles, gates and places only from your own observations. Reports are visible to other users and are not checked in advance. Inappropriate or misleading reports may be removed and the reporting device blocked.

5. AI-generated content

The "My bike" picture is an illustrative image generated by AI, not a photograph. It must not be presented as a factual picture, for example in insurance or official contexts.

6. Test version

The app is a test version: it may contain errors, the routing server may occasionally be unavailable, and features may change or be removed without notice. Testers are asked to report their findings with the app's Feedback function.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is, without warranty of the safety, accuracy or availability of routes. To the extent permitted by mandatory law, the developer is not liable for direct or indirect damage arising from the use or unavailability of the service. Mandatory provisions of Finnish consumer protection law always apply.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland.
