Thank you for testing.
Rospuutto is a test version. It already does a lot, but you will certainly find gaps, and those are exactly what we want to hear about. This page tells you how to get started and how to report what you find.
1. Installation (iPhone)
1. Install Apple's TestFlight app from the App Store.
2. Open the invitation link you received on your phone and accept the invitation. Rospuutto installs through TestFlight.
3. When a new version is released, TestFlight notifies you and the update is one tap away.
The web version (in a browser) also works, but without background location; navigation is best tested with the app.
2. What to test
- Drawing routes: tap points, try the risk levels (Safe / Low risk / High risk) and the vehicles. Does the route change sensibly?
- Generated loops: give a distance and a start point. Is the loop rideable?
- Follow TET: switch it on in the route settings and tap points onto the green line.
- Navigation on a real ride: turn instructions, gate warnings, rerouting when you leave the route, cards (long press to edit).
- Trust levels on the map: do "Closed" and "Unknown" match reality on roads you know? This is the most important feedback.
- Reports: mark a gate or an obstacle when you meet one.
3. How to report issues
In the app: Settings → Feedback from testers. Choose Bug / Suggestion / Question / Praise and tell us where and what happened. The app version, phone model, settings and recent error messages go along automatically, so you do not need to dig them up.
A good bug report: what you did, what you expected, what happened. A screenshot always helps; in TestFlight you can attach one directly (shake the phone, or take a screenshot and choose "Share beta feedback").
4. Good to know
- The routing server may occasionally be unavailable during the test phase. The map still works, but no route is calculated; try again in a moment.
- Routes and rides are stored on your phone only. Export important routes as GPX (Settings → Export all routes).
- The app does not give you permission to ride private roads. The responsibility is the rider's; see the terms of use and privacy policy.
- The test version is for invited testers only. Please do not forward the invitation link; ask instead and we will add the tester.
